I feel that these lyrics represent friendship because it shows how there friendship is becoming more than friends. Usually when people date they shoud become friends before they start dating. 50 cent the rapper made these lyrics to his then girlfriend Olivia. My experience with this is that I had a friend who wanted to be more than frineds, but at the time I had a boyfriend so it couldnt work.
